Research Directors: Dr. Masoud Mahjour-Shafiei

In this lab, we are mainly focused on the research and development of penning ion sources. We have a positive penning ion source that feeds beams to an electrostatic 100kV accelerator column delivering beams for implantation purposes. We also have negative hydrogen penning ion source meant to be used as the source of the baby cyclotron for medical radioisotopes.
