Yaser Abdi received his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran in 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, University of Tehran. He is now interested in Nanophysics and Nanotechnology including field emission based devices, light-emitting from nanostructures and the application and the physical properties of nanostructures.

    Postdoctoral Research Fellow

    Asieh sadat Kazemi received her PhD from University of Bath, UK in 2015, following a period of about a year at the same place doing a postdoc. Currently she is a postdoc fellow in Solid State Physics at University of Tehran. She is interested in exploring graphene electronic properties originating from quantum interference and quantum confinement via defects and nanostructures(from underlying substrates) with scanning probe techniques. She is also interested in exploiting graphene further as a membrane for various applications.

    Mahdi Sasar received his bachelor (2012) and master degree (2014) in solid state physics in University of Tehran, where he is currently a PhD student. His M.Sc. research was on the quantum field theoretical treatment of the optical activity of different media. His PhD research is focused on piezo-electric and photo-catalytic properties of ZnO nanostructures and enhanced sensing properties of ZnO decorated 2D material like graphene and molybdenum disulfide.

    Thesis Title: Exploration of improved sensing capabilities of ZnO/GO and ZnO/MoS2 heterostructures by manipulating the photocatalytic and piezoelectric properties of ZnO nanostructures.

    Mohammad Javadi received the M.Sc. degree in Nanophysics from University of Tehran (UT), Iran in 2014. Currently he is a Ph.D. candidate in condensed matter physics at UT. He is interested in electron transport properties of disordered materials and new generations of solar cells.

      Mina Mohtajeb received my B.Sc. degree in Solid State Physics from University of Tehran (UT) in 2013 and also received my M.Sc. in the same field from UT in 2016. I am interested in research and investigation about nanoparticles and graphene specifically studying the surface plasmon resonance in nanoparticles and the effect of graphene on the plasmonic characteristic of nanoparticles.

      Khadem has studied physics, bachelor and master at university of Tehran and currently is doctoral researcher in Humboldt University of Berlin. His main interest is studying anomalous diffusion of probe in different vivo and vitro medium using Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), developing novel theoretical and experimental methods in analyzing data and performing measurements.

      Javad Eslami received the B.Sc. degree in Condense matter physics in 2013 and researched in cancer trophy and drug delivery based on graphene. Since 2015, He have been studying in M.Sc. in Atomic and molecular physics and research on Bio-Optical sensors based on the Graphene/metal surfaces. He interested in research on graphene as a membrane for bio application.

      Thesis Title: fabrication of biosensor based on the Surface Plasmon resonance of Graphene/CNT/Ag thin film.
